Teething is never pleasant but it is even worse when you have to deal with it on your family vacation! Our Bella decided to cut her two bottom teeth right when my husband started a 10 day vacation break. I can typically deal with the grouchy moods and the slobbers but when they are accompanied by high fever I just have to stop everything and snuggle in the rocking chair. It’s hard to do that when you have a condo booked out of state! We had such a hard time trying to decide if we should stay home or try to make the 5 hour drive with a puny baby. After weighing our options we decided to give her a dose of baby ibuprofen and make the journey as quickly as possible. Thankfully the little lady handled the trip very well and took advantage of the time to sleep off that wicked fever. The last few miles were the worst as she was more than ready to be OUT of the vehicle by that time. After a day of total rest in the condo she was back as good as new and had two nice and shiny new teeth to smile about. Though we made it okay I would definitely not want to do it again.
